Position Name: Test Engineer / Senior Testing Engineer Job Location: Hyderabad The primary role of this person will be to: This position is responsible for delivery of bug-free and robust business applications. The challenges facing this position are – ensuring no bugs in an application get past the test function in terms of features/integration and ensuring applications comply to all the infrastructure related requirements (like OS versions, scalability, regional/localisation tests, performance, regression, etc.), introducing best practices, standards and metrics in testing function, and attempting to automate testing to the extent possible. You should have a proven track record of successful delivery (IT projects) and Strong Understanding of the software development life cycle. Should also have good Leadership skills, Communications skills and Strong problem solving abilities. Strong test planning, testing and technical skills, specifically SQL Server, .Net, ASP.Net, Web Services, and OLAP. If you have done “Back-end” testing or SQL Server database testing along with good exposure to data warehousing concepts, you are the right fit! Any Microsoft certification especially on .Net/ASP/SQL Server will be an added advantage. You should have 3 to 6 years of experience in the field of Information Technology and should be highly familiar with the software development life cycle. Atleast 2 years of solid test experience on MS technologies needed (SQL Server, .Net, C# are a must have). Test cases writing and execution, test cases review, bug triage and bug reporting will be done by this position.
