WARTSILA INDIA LIMITED (WIN) - INDIAN SCHOOL OF PETROLEUM (ISP) COLLABORTIVE ONE YEAR TRAINING PROGRAM FOR FRESH GRADUATE ENGINEERS (BATCH 2006-07) Wartsila India Limited (WIN) has collaborated with Indian School of Petroleum (ISP) to develop a one year professional program that would primarily focus on developing a pool of talented power plant engineers.
We require fresh graduate engineers under our “Company Engineer Trainee” (CET) Scheme Designation Company Engineer Trainee (CET) Scheme. Job Description Training period & pedagogy-
1. The selected candidates will be inducted at the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) located at Deharadun. Initially, they will undergo a six months training with a substantial period allocated to technical/behavioral inputs, seminars, simulation learning, etc. UPES will evaluate the performance of the trainees as per their rules. They will be governed by the rules and regulations of UPES.
2. On completion of the first six month training at the UPES, they will undergo - On the Job Training (OJT) in Watsila in different departments. Practical training would also be imparted at our training center located at Khopoli (Maharashtra). Specific Projects will be undertaken and completed during OJT. They will be governed by the rules and regulations of Wartsila.
3. Quarterly performance evaluation as a part of performance measurement system during training in WIN.
4. Final Interview at the end of training period in WIN.
5. Mentoring forms integral part of training pedagogy.
6. Absorption in the company’s services would be primarily dependent on individual's performance and availability of vacancy. 7. Interested candidates may apply with their latest cvs latest by 13th March 06 Desired Profile Eligibility Criteria-
1. Graduate Engineers in Mechanical/Production, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation. 2. Should have passed final examination in year 2005 or would be appearing or have appeared for final examination in year 2006. 3. Candidates who have passed in year 2005 should have obtained first class (above 60%) marks in the final year examination (both semesters). 4. Candidates who have appeared or would be appearing in year 2006 should have obtained first class (above 60%) marks in the immediate previous examination (both semesters). 6. Candidates should not have failed in any of the semesters nor would have kept terms.
Selection Methodology-
1. Written test at major centers followed by Group discussion & Interview 2. Medical fitness
General Information-
1. Trainees shall make their own arrangement for accommodation during the entire training period. 2. A professional diploma in Power Operations and Management will be awarded by the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) on successful completion of training. 3. Stipend - Rs.10000/- per month in the first 6 months and Rs.12000/- in the remaining six months. 4. Trainees shall be covered under Provident Fund, Workmen’s Compensation Policy and Accident Insurance. 5. Trainees shall be reimbursed II Class AC Rail fare at the time of joining at UPES. 6.
